From October 4-19, 2024, the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity took place in Fort Worth, Texas.

The NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity®, now sponsored by Metallic Cat, has evolved from its humble beginnings in 1970 into a premier event in Western performance. Each year, hundreds of horses and thousands of fans from the U.S., Canada, and abroad gather to witness horses compete in herd work, rein work, and fence work.

In the reined cowhorse discipline, Legendary Stakes competitors claimed multiple purses at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity. In the open division, the horse Cats Like Butter, sired by Cats Royal Boon, and rider Jason Perry each earned 9 points. In the non-pro boxing division, the horse Ranch Security, sired by Peptorey, and rider Jane Bagley, each earned 9 points in their respective categories. The sires, Cats Royal Boon and Peptorey each earned $50 in royalties for each having a horse and rider entry.
