From May 9th to 11th, 2025, the Extreme Cowgirl Challenge was held in Leoti, Kansas.

Designed exclusively for cowgirls competing in Reined Cow Horse and Ranch Horse events, this one-of-a-kind challenge pushed athletes through individual tests in Reining, Ranch Riding, Extreme Trail, and Cutting before uniting as teams for the ultimate group cattle-work finale. At the Perry Quarter Horses facility, competitors experienced a blend of individual skill and team strategy, where every preliminary point counted toward securing a spot in the top five teams for the final championship round.

In the barrels discipline, Legendary Stakes competitors won two purses. In the futurity division, Pep Rallie, sired by French Streakin Jess, the rider Hallie Hanssen, the dam Mean Cheerleader, the breeders Lee and Hallie Hanssen, and the sire each earned 9 points. Pep Rallie’s sire, dam, and breeder each received $25 in royalties for the horse entry.
