From February 15th to March 1st, 2025, the NRCHA Celebration of Champions took place in Fort Worth Texas.
The NRCHA Celebration of Champions marks the start of the premier event show season each year. Hosted in Fort Worth, Texas, this event brings together riders competing for the World Champion title, participants in the Ray Shell Ranch and Western Bloodstock World’s Greatest Horseman®, and Derby-aged horses in the Tres Osos Cow Horse Derby. It is an event that showcases the breadth of the reined cow horse industry to its fullest.
In the reined cow horse discipline, Legendary Stakes competitors earned multiple purses. In the Open Derby division, the horse Stevie Rey Time, sired by Stevie Rey Von, earned 7 points, while Lil Sann Belle, sired by Sannman, earned 9 points, along with the dam Tessa Belle. In the Limited Open Bridle division, Spook N Boon, sired by Once In A Blu Boon, and rider Jason Perry each earned 9 points. In the Non-Pro Bridle division, Dual Smarty, sired by Dual Smart Rey, and rider Julia Widers each earned 9 points. In the Non-Pro Derby division, Hot Donna, sired by Dual Reyish, earned 9 points. In the Non-Pro Two Rein division, Ranch Security, sired by Peptorey, earned 9 points. The horses’ sires, dams, and breeders each received $25 in royalties for the entries.
