From July 18th-21st, 2024, the 5-State Breeders Futurity took center stage at the Jim Kjerstad Event Center in Rapid City, South Dakota.
This long-standing event offered a variety of divisions with something for everyone. The fast-paced event spanned four days and wrapped up in the awarding of saddles to the respective winners.
In the breakaway roping discipline, Legendary Stakes competitors claimed multiple purses at the 5-State Breeders Futurity, earning their way further up the leaderboard. In the maturity division, the horse Sip Cash N Crumpet, the dam Sip Miss Triscuit, and the breeder Dana Sippel each earned 9 points in their respective categories. In the same division, under the sire TR Illumniator Cash, the rider Clint Kindred earned 9 points, while the horse TR The Big Oh, the dam Woman Within, and the breeder Harry Thomas each earned 4 points. The sire, TR Illumniator Cash, earned $175 in royalties for 7 entries, increasing their yearly earnings.
