From February 27th to March 6th, 2025, the NCHA Eastern Nationals took place in West Monroe, Louisiana.
The 2025 NCHA Eastern Nationals was presented by 6666 Ranch at the iconic Hamilton Expo Center, also known as “The Ike.” This exciting competition showcased cutting horses and riders from across the country, pushing their limits in pursuit of a national title.
In the cutting discipline, Legendary Stakes competitors earned multiple purses. In the open division, the horse Sports Hottish, sired by Hottish, SDP Carpe Diem Baby, sired by Sannman, and SDP Carpe Diem Baby’s dam, SDP Hicapoo Cat, each earned 7 points. In the same division, SDP Hylight Reel, sired by Hydrive Cat, earned 9 points. In the $25K novice division, the horse SDP Carpe Diem Baby, sired by Sannman, earned 9 points, along with the dam SDP Hiccapoo Cat. In the $5K novice, the horse Spots Hottish, sired by Hottish, earned 10 points! The horses’ sires, dams, and breeders each received $25 in royalties for the entries.
