From July 22nd to 28th, 2024, the NRCHA Hackamore Classic took place at the Tulsa Expo Square in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

This event, designed to showcase the traditional cow horse evolution, provides 4 and 5 year old hackamore horses the opportunity to participate in a three-event derby consisting of herd, rein, and cow work. Congratulations to Lil Spoon which received $75 in royalties and Sandance Equine LLC for receiving $75 in Breeder royalties.

In the reined cow horse discipline, Legendary Stakes competitors claimed multiple purses at the NRCHA Hackamore Classic. In the Open Hackamore Limited division, the horse Fancie, rider Spur Leathers, and dam Bet Sheza Topaz each earned 9 points in their respective categories, earning their way up the leaderboard. The sire Lil Spoon earned $75 in royalties through 3 different entries.
